The Wiverton Table
The clients live in a Hall that dates back to the English Civil War.
The Victorian extension required a mediaeval style dining table for the main hall. I drew up a design that was suited for use with chairs rather than the long benches that were the norm in the Middle Ages.
The table features a frieze rail with gadrooning and carved oak leaves and cup and cover gadrooned legs. Solid oak stained to match the existing chairs.
